CUTAWAY STABILIZERS: Cutaway is used inside knit fabrics such as tees and fleece. Most commonly used weight is MEDIUM 2.0 oz to 2.5 oz. A cutaway stabilizes the embroidery design on the garment thru the washing and drying process. USE a piece large enough to fit in the hoop during the embroidery process (you may slide an additional piece under the hoop for a dense design), the excess is then cut away. Our Brand Cutaway and the HV Soft N Stable Brand in the medium weights are ideal inside Heavy Cotton tees, sweatshirts, and other fleece items. Lt weight Cutaway, Soft N Sheer and No show cutaway are ideal inside summer tees. Soft n Sheer and No Show are both excellent for Golf and polo style shirts

TEAR AWAY STABILIZERS are used inside a woven fabrics such as denim and cotton/poly blends. We carry it in light to medium weight styles in sheets and rolls. OUR Easy Tear is a light weight easy to tear tear away which is ideal for light stitch count designs, delicate woven fabrics and monogramming, (less strain on stitches when removed) it looks like a waffle weave. Our Press n Hoop is an Iron on Tear away. Our Peel n Stick is a tear away with a light adhesive on one side, used for a hoopless embroidery technique (you hoop the stabilizer not the garment) or with HOOP IT ALL frames. Our TEAR/WASH AWAY will disintegrate in the washing cycle and is available in both a Medium weight and Light weight.

WASH AWAY Water Soluble Toppings and Backings: We carry several styles of water soluble toppings and Backings. Solvy sheets (opaque) and Perforated rolls Clear like saran wrap) both can be used as a topping on knits to keep the stitches from sinking into the fabric and on top of towels to keep the loops from coming up in the design like little snow flakes. VILENE and ULTRA HEAVY are used for the FREE STANDING LACE DESIGNS. Vilene is also known as a water soluble cutaway.
